Dumb Biz sends an update on dumb startups, business decisions and news every morning that will make you (hopefully) smarter every morning!
A company is setting the stage for bring your furry to work day, these new ‘Mirumi’ bots are set to release this Fall and we can’t wait for it to fail. Also, don’t ask me how to pronounce Mirumi but they have earned the title ‘Dumb Startup of The Day’.
A fluffy robot that attaches to your bag and spontaneously turns it’s head to glance at nearby people is something even ChatGPT couldn’t come up with. The goal is to recreate the joy of interacting with a human baby and as millennials have proven to want less kids while also being the only prospects of buying this product I am curious to see how quickly they’ll miss their sales goals.
In all seriousness this could be a product that does well for a while as a fad in China or Japan. Lot’s of these animal/character items have a run as a cash cow for companies before a YouTuber makes a ‘Remember this item’ video a few years later after it falls off the face of the earth.
If the price comes in at $35 or less, I may buy one to scare my cats. What are your thoughts and how many would you like to order? (They’ll need your help).
